4 mai 2017 · Izzy Stradlin, the occasionally reclusive former Guns N' Roses guitarist and co-founder, has turned up on John Mellencamp's rootsy new album, Sad Clowns & Hillbillies, which was released last month. Stradlin plays on one song, "Grandview," which you can hear via the lyric video below.
An early stab at recording the song featured Indiana native and former Guns N' Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin and drummer Stan Lynch, formerly of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Mellencamp said the "Sad Clowns" version of "Grandview" includes some vocals he recorded in the '90s and some recorded this century.

L'ancien guitariste et fondateur des GUNS N' ROSES, Izzy Stradlin, est parmi les invités du nouvel album de John Mellencamp, « Sad Clowns & Hillbillies » paru le 28 avril chez Republic Records, et plus particulièrement sur le titre "Grandview", dans lequel figure également la chanteuse de country Martina McBride.
Agréable mais pas vraiment mémorable, même si les percussions sont amusantes et qu'Izzy Stradlin est de la partie. Difficile de se remettre en question après chaque album, mais John a l'intelligence de bien s'entourer et de ne pas limiter ses champs d'investigation.
