Emily Ann Saliers (born July 22, 1963) is an American singer-songwriter and member of the musical duo Indigo Girls. Saliers sings soprano and plays lead guitar as well as banjo, piano, mandolin, ukulele, bouzouki and many other instruments.
As a part of the duo Indigo Girls, Emily Saliers has been singing since high school. But it wasn’t until 2017’s crowdfunded release Murmuration Nation that she put out a solo.

Beneath the Devil Moon is an album by the American musician Michelle Malone, released in 1997. Malone supported the album by playing dates on the 1997 Lilith Fair festival, as well as opening for the Indigo Girls and then Chris Whitley. The album's first single was "Grace".
While attending Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, Malone befriended the Indigo Girls' Amy Ray and Emily Saliers, who encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Malone soon quit school and honed her skills in local clubs.
