A great project from Rob Ellis (Laika, P.J. Harvey), featuring John Parrish, Steve Vaughan, Terry Edwards, Mike Smith (Blur, Jamiroquai) and guest vocals by Polly Harvey herself. A bizarre mixture of styles including Birthday Party influences, Edith Piaf style ballads, easy lsitening jazz grooves and blues saxophone.
Parish's score won the Jury Special Appreciation prize at the 1999 Bonn Film & TV Music Biennale. He has since scored another ten soundtracks. Parish has now worked on seven albums with Harvey, including two co-written albums: Dance Hall at Louse Point (1996) and A Woman a Man Walked By (2009).

This is the soundtrack to a state of mind, mapped out by Rob Ellis, who’s helped out by assorted musicians, including John ‘Don’t call me Mann’ Parish, the superbly strange Pooka, the brassy slut Terry Edwards, and a dirty-dozen-and-one others.
The discography of PJ Harvey, an English alternative rock musician, consists of ten studio albums, two collaboration albums with John Parish, twenty-two singles, one extended play, three compilation albums and a number of collaborations with other artists.
Before the film’s official release in February 2010 it was shown at a few festivals and attracted quite a bit of interest. Ben Baldwin from Dreamboat Records caught one of these showings, liked the film and the score, and approached John about releasing an original soundtrack album.
