Because of the increased number of Sisters, the Motherhouse in Reading was transferred to West Chester, Pennsylvania, in 1872. There it remained until 1966, when the present Motherhouse, Villa Maria House of Studies, was built at Immaculata, Pennsylvania.
12 juil. 2019 · Built in 1927, the Villa Maria Motherhouse, Academy and Chapel Building is an E shaped, 4 story, Gothic Revival Building. All the wings are characterized by Gothic arches above the entries and prominent windows.
Villa Maria Farm is part of the Villa Maria Community Center, the Motherhouse complex of the Sisters of the Humility of Mary, located on 728 acres of land in Western Pennsylvania.
