Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen (Danish pronunciation: [ne̝lsˈhene̝ŋ ˈɶɐ̯steð ˈpʰeðɐsn̩], 27 May 1946 – 19 April 2005), also known by his abbreviated nickname NHØP, was a Danish jazz double bassist.

During the 1960’s Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen was to be heard at the big jazz festivals all over the world, playing both with the Sonny Rollins Trio and with Bill Evans. In the 1970’s he began collaborating with pianist Oscar Peterson.
