4 juin 2024 · Lowell High School, founded in 1856, is a college preparatory school in San Francisco with a diverse and rigorous curriculum. It offers 100 clubs, 32 sports, AP courses, and a variety of arts and languages programs.

Lowell High School is a co-educational, magnet public high school in San Francisco, California . History. 1853–1893. In 1853, Colonel Thomas J. Nevins, San Francisco's first superintendent of schools, raised the idea of a free high school for boys and a seminary for girls.
We are a university preparatory school for grades 10-12 students, offering the BC Dogwood Diploma. We are also an IB Candidate School. Our school maintains small class sizes with up to 16 students. We are committed to supporting teachers in developing and honing their teaching and leadership skills.

Lowell High School offers a rigorous curriculum focused on honors-level and Advanced Placement courses, including chemistry, calculus and economics.
