2020 saw Peter Bruntnell re-join forces with London-based indie label Loose, to re-issue his seminal and influential Americana album Normal For Bridgwater.
R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck wrote the main riff and chorus to the song on a mandolin while watching television one day. Buck had just bought the instrument and was attempting to learn how to play it, recording the music as he practiced.
A spirit of adventure reigned throughout the loose, uninhibited sessions, with band members swapping instruments and Peter Buck reaching for an acoustic guitar, mandolin and keyboard as he sought to escape existing tropes.
