Founded in 1434, it is the oldest university in Sicily, the 13th oldest in Italy, and the 29th oldest university in the world. With a population of over 60,000 students, it is the main university in Sicily. [citation needed]
16 avr. 2024 · L’Université de Catane est l’héritière d’une prestigieuse tradition d’écoles et d’études. Elle présente une structure articulée, s’inspirant d’une vision dialogique et interdisciplinaire, dans une perspective à la fois « sicilienne » et « européenne », locale et mondiale.
Passons maintenant au deuxième jardin botanique, également sur le territoire de l’Etna : le Jardin de l’Université de Catane, qui a son siège au centre de la ville, dans la Via Etnea.
