Il y a 10 heures · While recording Ziggy Stardust, Bowie offered "Suffragette City" to the band Mott the Hoople, who were on the verge of breaking up, but they declined. So Bowie wrote a new song for them, "All the Young Dudes". With Bowie producing, the band recorded the track in May 1972.

And I would say that we all dearly loved The Move, The Kinks, The Flamin’ Groovies, Mott the Hoople, Big Star, the MC5 and bands that flew in the face of the prevailing Southern Rock attitude of Winston-Salem at the time.

There’s also a book explaining everything which includes unseen lyrics and art from Joe’s archive. It’s a beautiful and lavish collection. I remember exactly where I was, what I was doing and how hard it hit me on 22nd December 2002 ...

Il y a 10 heures · Tornando ai Glitter Wizard, ne consiglio l’ascolto a chiunque abbia il coraggio di uscire dai soliti schemi e dalla propria zona di comfort… non capita tutti i giorni di ascoltare una band che condensa nel suo bagaglio spunti che ricordano Deep Purple, Black Widow, Agony Bag, Hawkwind, Grand Funk, MC5, New York Dolls, Mott The Hoople,.. e tanto altro ancora.
