19 juin 2016 · Heck the cops prefer if you do it in their parking lots or lobbies to make sure nothing goes down (at least I've heard that in other cities). Just know where you are going, what the visibility of the location is, do it in daylight hours, tell a motherfucker where you'll be and what's going on and when, have a check in call. Reply reply.
16 mars 2022 · There are however, several companies in Ottawa specifically for furniture donations, such as Helping With Furniture, Matthew House Furniture Bank, and Habitat for Humanity, but charge a fee for pickup. Hauling them to the dump isn't an option as my grandfather will only let them go if they're being donated.
filtermighty. ADMIN MOD. Why are Kijiji buyers so fucking stupid? So I listed my fridge on kijiji and in the ad, I clearly stated that it had some damaged shelves that need to be replaced. I find a buyer who agrees to pay $600 ($100 off my asking price). He shows up with a truck and a driver and tries to get another $100 off.

13 juil. 2022 · Am I the only person who's ever overpaid in the history of kijiji ottawa? 😂 I remember buying a pool table a few years ago on kijiji becaue the store didn't have them in stock. It was listed for 500$ and was in fantastic shape so I gave the guy 800$ for it and I'm not going to lie he looked like he didn't understand what was happening.
17 nov. 2021 · I think i once accidentally posted sn ad but had it not be "live" for like 2 weeks and couldnt figure out why i was getting no traffic. Then in order to get exposure, you need to join groups which all have individual posting rules. Kijiji is just way easier, but reddit is best imo. The quality of buyer is much higher on reddit.
14 sept. 2019 · Kijiji's map, as in, the map that comes up when you hit the "View Map" button on each individual post page. Wherever the listing ends up on that map is where it'll end up on the extension's map, because that is where the extension gets the co-ordinates from.
4 déc. 2022 · I recently sold furniture on kijiji and felt everything went smoothly/not sketchy/got a good price. I have also sold a ton of stuff through FB, listed in a local group. I think I prefer that experience overall, but you might not hit as wide an audience depending on how “specialty” what you are trying to sell is.
17 sept. 2022 · A side note about buying an iPhone off kijiji: A lot of times people will be selling a “brand new” iPhone they got through the Apple Care replacement plan (they damaged their phone and got a replacement but decided to upgrade so they’re selling the new phone still in the box) but those “brand new” phones are actually just refurbished phones anyway
