Stanley G. Wojcicki was an experimental particle physicist who in the 1960s took part in the explosive phase of the field, when many new particles were discovered and the structure of the Standard Model of elementary particles was established.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dr. Stanley G. Wojcicki, a preeminent physicist and an invaluable member of the Exploratorium community. Through his decade-long service on our Board of Trustees, his family’s generous financial support, and his long championing of curiosity and independent thinking, Stan’s contributions to our work are innumerable.

Wojcicki demonstrated a strong aptitude for mathematics and graduated from Gonzaga College High School at the age of 16. He received a scholarship from Harvard University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa when he was 20 years old.
