After fulfilling these fundamental needs, people move on to the need for safety and security, then belonging and love, and then esteem.

Besoins d’amour et d’appartenance. L’amitié, l’intimité, la confiance, l’acceptation, recevoir et donner de l’affection, l’amour, faire partie d’un groupe…. Une fois que les besoins physiologiques et de sécurité ont été satisfaits, le troisième niveau de besoins humains est social et implique un sentiment d’appartenance.

Selon lui, cette hiérarchie se présente sous la forme d’une pyramide, avec les besoins les plus bas au bas de la pyramide et les besoins les plus élevés au sommet.
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is illustrated here. In some versions of the pyramid, cognitive and aesthetic needs are also included between esteem and self-actualization. Others include another tier at the top of the pyramid for self-transcendence. At the base of the pyramid are all of the physiological needs that are necessary for survival.

In spite of this reservation it has been widely reproduced as a complete theory, on the way acquiring its own pictorial representation in the form of a triangle or pyramid, which is reproduced in countless publications.
