This is a fantastic vintage F.E. Olds Opera model tenor saxophone, serial number 3422. While Olds was based out of Los Angeles, this tenor was produced by Buffet and is even stamped ‰ÛÏMade in France‰Û near the serial number. It is very similar to a vintage Buffet Dynaction tenor.åÊ. This sax is in incredible shape.

I recently had the good fortune to pick up an early Super Dynaction tenor (5,xxx). I didn't expect that much difference between the two, but have found the SDA to be much more of a "beast"--less gentle mannered, take it out to play blues ...
