In the decades that followed, Gregg has remained a dynamic and prolific musical force, both with the Allman Brothers Band and as a solo artist. The group experienced a major resurgence in the 1990s, and in the years since has maintained its position as America's foremost Southern rock band and rock's greatest improvisational ensemble.

Gregory Lenoir Allman, conosciuto dal pubblico come Gregg Allman ( Nashville, 8 dicembre 1947 – Richmond Hill, 27 maggio 2017 ), è stato un cantante, tastierista e chitarrista statunitense di blues rock, famoso per aver fondato la Allman Brothers Band insieme al fratello Duane Allman [1] .
Gregg Allman died due to complications from liver cancer at his home in Savannah, GA on May 17, 2017. He played his last show October 29, 2016 at his own Laidback Festival in Atlanta, Ga. Gregg’s legacy will undoubtedly live on in his music.
