Spanning Anderson’s career from the 1970s to her recent work, it sets out the different stages which led from her first creation to her latest audio piece. The exhibition will be opened by the composer and pianist Kevin Volans at 6.00pm on Wednesday 16 February, when Anderson will perform a version of Duets on Ice.
In _Duets on Ice_, first performed in New York in 1972 and shortly thereafter in Italy, Anderson stood on a street corner wearing ice skates frozen into a block of ice and played a violin embedded with a speaker emitting a tune. The result was a duet that ended when the ice melted.

24 mai 2024 · In the 1970s, in one of her most memorable performances called ‘Duets On Ice’, she played the violin while wearing a pair of ice skates with frozen blades which melted after the performance. In 1978, she delivered a performance at ‘The Nova Convention’ and also worked with comedian, Andy Kaufman.
