A painter and sculptor, George Segal came to be recognized primarily for his life-size white plaster sculptures made from casts taken from living models. Although he is associated with Pop Art because of his references to mass culture and his appreciation of the relation between the fine arts and forms of popular art, his interest in rendering the human form makes him a radical realist.

George Segal (13. února 1934 – 23. března 2021) byl americký filmový, televizní a divadelní herec. Narodil se v newyorském Great Neck jako nejmladší ze tří sourozenců. Studoval na Kolumbijské univerzitě a roku 1956 vstoupil do armády.
